Join the Adventure at Gaia Backyard Hafjell!

Experience the beauty and challenge of the Norwegian mountains with Gaia Backyard Hafjell. On October 4, 2025, we’re hosting a unique race that will push your limits in a breathtaking setting.

​

The format is simple but demanding: runners complete a 6.7 km loop, starting every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains. The course takes you through scenic trails, grass fields, and gravel paths in the stunning Hafjell mountains. With elevation changes and varying terrain, this is the ultimate test of endurance.

In 2023, over 140 participants took on the challenge, with many running farther than ever before. The race continued into the evening, with 27 runners completing 12 laps—80 km in total! Whether you’re an experienced ultra runner or trying your first Backyard format, this event is for everyone who wants to push their boundaries and enjoy the supportive community spirit that defines Backyard Ultras.
